UA Circle K Participates in Tri-K Day

The University of Alabama Circle K Club volunteered at the Jean Dean Reading Is Fundamental Warehouse in Opelika, AL on Saturday August 25, 2012. The club members met with Key clubbers, Kiwanians, and other Circle K-ers from around the state to label thousands of books to be distributed across the state. Jean Dean Reading Is Fundamental distributes books to children in low income neighborhoods across the state of Alabama, giving hope and promoting literacy. In many cases, these books are the first item these children have ever owned and helps them want to learn to read. It also makes an impact on their families who may nothave any books in their homes. UA Circle K is proud supporter of the program and will continue to host and sponsor events for Jean Dean RIF throughout the year.
